The Symmetric Dimethylarginine (SDMA) Test Cassette (Serum/Plasma) is based on Fluorescence Immunoassay for the quantitative determination of SDMA in canines and felines serum, plasma (Only Heparin) by using fluorescence immunoassay analyzer. For veterinary use only.

 

Principle:
The Symmetric Dimethylarginine (SDMA) Test Cassette detects SDMA in canines and felines serum/plasma specimens based on Fluorescence Immunoassay. In the test, SDMA antigen is coated on the T line region of the membrane, SDMA in the specimen will compete with the SDMA antigen coated on the membrane with the SDMA antibody labeled with fluorescent microspheres. The less SDMA in the specimen, the more chance that fluorescent microspheres-conjugated anti-SDMA antibodies can be captured by the SDMA antigen coated on the membrane. The concentration of SDMA in the specimen is inversely related to the intensity of the fluorescent signal captured on the T line. The testing result of SDMA antigen will be displayed on the Fluorescence Immunoassay Analyzer screen.
